Re: NSF Salary Question Vincelli, Diana 02 Jun 2006 15:00 EST

There is an NSF rule that says a PI may receive no more than two ninths
of regular salary as summer salary from any/all NSF sources. See the
GPG: Budget, Salaries and Wages, Policies.

Subject: [RESADM-L] NSF Salary Question

Does anyone out there ever allow their faculty to submit NSF proposals
with more than 2 months summer salary requested? If so - how would/could
it be justified (other than a specific solicitation)?

2nd question - PI's on multiple subcontract's - NSF prime, does the 2
month rule still apply? I'd think so but thought I'd get a second
opinion...

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
