NSF Reporting Foschia, Chris 30 May 2006 12:29 EST

Hello All. I am hoping that you might be able to help me out with a question on NSF reporting requirements. A faculty PI is preparing to submit his first annual report for a CCLI grant. He has spent a considerable amount of time on project administration to date (e.g., getting vendor quotes, designing a lab space, etc.), but he is only receiving summer support under the grant (beginning with Summer 2006). Should he indicate that he has spent more than 160 hours on the project, even though NSF is only supporting a minimal amount of time for this reporting period and the work is not related to teaching and research that is covered under his faculty contract? Also, can he list faculty under the "Senior Personnel" section of the report even if they are not receiving compensation under the grant?

Thanks so much for any guidance you can provide!

Chris
