Re: Rumor about NIH Rankings Aull, Robert M 11 May 2006 13:48 EST

I've heard the same rumor and am concerned as we have corrections to
make to the department assignments for our FFY 2005 award data (still
lacking contracts at this point). The NIH rankings represent one of a
series of benchmarks we use to measure department activity.

Does anyone know if this suggestion is a consequence of the effort to
recognize multiple PI's?

Subject: [RESADM-L] Rumor about NIH Rankings

I just heard a rumor that NIH was going to stop ranking medical schools
by department. I surely hope that it isn't true. Has anyone else heard
anything about this?

Also, if they are thinking about it, let's get out the torches and
pitchforks and see what we can do to influence them to continue to give
us this valuable tracking data.
