questions regarding convictions are standard on an application
form...although some states restrict inquiries if the conviction is
over 5-7 years - the applicant does not have to answer.

Subject: [RESADM-L] Prior Felony Conviction - Employees on Federal
Grants

I'm wondering if other universities can provide some input on the
following:

When a university employee administers a federal grant, is the
employee usually asked if he or she has ever been convicted of a
felony? If this question is asked, is it generally asked of all
people administering federal grants or just for particular types of
grants?

Thank you!
