Job Description: Teachers College is a graduate and professional school conducting instruction, research, and training in the domains of education, psychology, and health services and sciences. With more than $31 million in sponsored program funding, The College invites applications for an Assistant to the Director who will support the smooth operation of programs supported by a rapidly increasing volume of awards.

Excellent benefits including tuition exemption of up to 12 credits per fiscal year at TC, or 9 credits per fiscal year if enrolled in a degree program at Columbia University (after a 6 month waiting period).
Responsibilities:
Administrative support to the director; detailed monitoring of all grants and contracts; development and maintenance of a tracking system; preparation of subcontracts; assistance with proposal preparation, especially forms and budgeting; heavy faculty contact; coordination with Grants and Contracts Accounting Office; maintenance and updating of related government regulations; research and dissemination of funding opportunities; assistance with human subjects activities and other compliance-related issues.
Qualifications:
* BA or BS degree;
* Previous experience in a higher education, non profit or philanthropic setting highly desirable;
* Detail oriented;
* Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills;
* Ability to read and interpret governmental regulations;
* Skill in juggling competing priorities;
* Comfort with mathematical calculation;
* Ability to track and follow-up on ongoing projects;
* Solid ability with Access, Word and Excel;
* HTML skills highly desirable.
