POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

TITLE: Coordinator (Grants & Contracts Specialist)

CATEGORY: Associate Staff, full time, 12-month appointment

RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to a Contract Manager/Team Leader, this is
an entry level position which supports a team of Contract Administrators
and assumes responsibility for a wide range of research administration
duties to include review of grant proposals for completeness and
accuracy in accordance with sponsors' guidelines and university
policies, review awards for acceptance, create and process award
transaction summaries to establish sponsored account numbers, and review
selected transactions for allowability in accordance with sponsors'
terms and conditions and university policies. Act as a liaison between
sponsors and campus faculty and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree preferred; 2 years work experience
in research administration or similar work required. Education may be
substituted for work experience. Knowledge of federal circulars,
familiarity with 0MB Circulars A-21, A-110 and A-133, proficiency in
computer hardware and software packages; Microsoft Word and Excel highly
desirable. Candidates shall have excellent oral and written
communication skills, strong interpersonal and customer service skills
in a deadline driven environment are essential.

SALARY: $35,000-$45,000; commensurate with experience and
qualifications.
