The Office of Sponsored Programs at the University of Vermont is seeking a
qualified individual to fill the position of Information Technology
Professional Senior.  This individual will oversee and provide leadership
in facilitating development, implementation and advanced technical
expertise services for Sponsored Programs proposal development and data
management systems and associated networks, servers, and personal
computers.   This individual will also provide specialized financial
analysis and analytical reports for management decision making.

Typical Functions will Include: Oversee and provide leadership in Sponsored
Program's proposal tracking and development database.  Oversee data
integrity.  Design and implement required interfaces to PeopleSoft systems,
troubleshoot system upgrades and interfaces and validate/verify data
conversions.
Serve as liaison to software venders for problem resolution, system
upgrades and research and testing of new products.
Implement security measures.
Oversee and create system documentation.
Create and maintain databases for tracking ancillary research
administration activity such as material transfer agreements,
non-disclosure agreements, and conflict of interest disclosures.
Oversee data entry and audit for integrity. Document entry business process
and serve as resource to data entry personnel.
Develop and maintain standard web queries and reports integrating data from
OSP and other University systems.
Create analytical and ad hoc reports for management decision making drawing
on a variety of University data sources.
Perform financial analysis related to research resources.
Minimum Qualifications or equivalent combination of education & experience:
Bachelor's degree in a related information technology, business management
or specialized field and three to five years' related information
technology management experience required.

*If a sufficiently qualified pool of applicants is not obtained for this
position, it may be filled as an Information Technology Professional, which
requires a Bachelor's degree in related field and one to three years'
related or specialized experience.
