TITLE: Web-Based Instructional Specialist

CLOSING DATE: Open Until Filled
STARTING SALARY: Commensurate with experience.

DUTIES: Design, develop, and implement training materials including
manuals, quick reference guides, presentations, online modules and job
aids to support the mission of the Office of Research Administration and
Advancement. Analyze existing materials and interview subject matter
experts to collect necessary data, variables and custom information
necessary to deliver training via web-based sessions, instructor-led
sessions, one-on-one coaching, and presentations. Develop web-based
training that will have a testing and documentation component. Assist
with technical support of electronic research administration systems.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree with three to five years
educational technology experience, curriculum design, web presentation
of materials, presentation of workshops and an expertise with various
operating systems; multimedia technology and authoring tools; and file
structures, formats and protocols. Must be able to work with a high
level of independence and have experience in training and facilitation.
Must have a knowledge of instructional design concepts and principles.
Must have the ability to work collaboratively within an academic
community and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Must have strong
writing, editing and proofreading skills. Should have strong
interpersonal, communication, organizational and presentation skills.
Familiarity with sponsored research  development desirable.
