Grants.gov and PureEdge file sizes Shapiro, Steve 04 Apr 2005 18:41 EST

For those of you using the PureEdge viewer to prepare and submit
proposals,

1) What file size ranges are you seeing for finished proposals? (we are
concerned about e-mail and long term retention)

2) Are you having any problems with preparers adding/removing/replacing
documents within the application and having the file size grow very
large (10+ mb)?

3) How are you handling continuity if the package is passed from one
person to another? We see a great opportunity for two or more people to
each think that they have the master copy of a proposal, when in reality
several people (or event the same person) are working on different
versions of the same proposal package. We are also seeing opportunities
for the file to become duplicated many times over on a single users
workstation, due to the ambiguous message about 'replacing existing
file' when saving.

Thank you,

Steve Shapiro
