 Contracts and Grants Specialist

The House Ear Institute, an independent not-for-profit research institute dedicated to the study of the causes and cures for hearing disorders, is seeking a Contracts and Grants Specialist to manage the financial aspects of pre-award and post-award grants administration including but not limited to, preparing proposal budgets, ensuring compliance with Federal and private agency regulations, meeting requirements for project reports to PIs and other information within stated deadlines, implementing institutional policies and procedures for the financial administration of sponsored contracts and grants, monitoring and reviewing cost accounting for research projects, and assisting with fiscal budgeting for research departments.

The successful candidate will have:  a Bachelor's degree, minimum of one year working experience in administering government funding in the not-for-profit research/education environment, experience in accounting, competency in MS Office programs such as Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Access, excellent interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication, excellent analytical and problem-solving capability.

Salary Range $37,500.-$43,000.; actual compensation based on experience.  The House Ear Institute is an equal opportunity employer.
