Re: NSF MRI Program and New Cost Sharing Policy Terri Hall 24 Nov 2004 08:30 EST

New guidelines were issued for the MRI program (nsf05-515 Posted October
29, 2004 ) stating that cost sharing is no longer required so we do not plan
on including it. See http://www.nsf.gov/pubsys/ods/getpub.cfm?nsf05515

No new guidelines have been posted yet for the ERC program whose guidelines
still state a 20% cost sharing requirement.

My understanding is the same as below... that for programs with guidelines
issued before Oct 14 it is up to program officer/directorate whether to stay
with those guidelines and require cost sharing...or request that new
guidelines be posted saying it is no longer necessary. Those posted after
Oct 14 will not include it.
