Re: URGENT FOR TODAY'S DEADLINE: Grants.gov and syntax error Robert Beattie 17 Nov 2004 16:52 EST

I think that field is picky about the characters you use. When we
submitted an "application filing name" with quotes " " we got an
error. Try using just letters and spaces.

One of our administrators is trying to submit a proposal on Grants.gov
for TODAY's deadline, so a quick response would be appreciated!

Here's his problem: "I have uploaded my entire Grants Application
package on grants.gov, and the box, "Application Filing Name" keeps
coming up as an, "invalid entry". As a result, it won't let me
submit. The grants.gov helpline says that field is an arbitrary name,
but nothing seems to work."

He spent an hour on the phone with Grants.gov help desk but there was
no solution. Has anyone else experienced this problem, and if so, what
was your solution?

Thanks,
