At our institution, the lab administrators build their own, usually in
Access or Excel.  Not a very good system.  We have just switched to
Oracle, which will give them more (passworded) information so that
hopefully they can phase out these shadow systems.

I would like to know what some of the smaller universities (PUI's) are
using for grant accounting software, specifically shadow systems that
interface with the university accounting system. If you are in a
post-award departmental office of a larger university and use a shadow
