New York University's Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences seeks a
Sponsored Projects Officer to oversee research grants and contracts.
Reporting to the Sponsored Projects Administrator, this position will
work closely with faculty and administrators in the management and
finance of grants. Responsibilities will include: authorizing and
processing payroll, equipment, and travel expenses; preparing financial
statements, budget forecasts and reports; ensuring compliance with
appropriate government regulations; and the planning and submission of
proposal materials to federal agencies, corporations and individual
donors.

Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree and 2 years'
relevant experience, preferably in an academic or research environment.
Experience should include the management of complex budgets and the
administration of federal and/or state agency grants. Ideal candidates
will have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and will
demonstrate a strong attention to detail. Computer skills must include a
strong working knowledge of spreadsheets.

Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
