The University of Nebraska is seeking an Assistant Director, Pre-Award in
the Office of Sponsored Programs.  This is a new position.

Responsible for administrative review of single and multiple investigator
grant and contract proposals and for providing institutional oversight on
proposal submission and review of award documents, verifying compliance with
university, state, federal, and sponsor guidelines and regulations. Manage
office in Director?s absence. Provide specialized guidance to faculty and
staff in developing project budgets, completing application materials, and
finalizing external awards. Provide training for faculty and staff
responsible for budget development and proposal preparation.

Qualifications: Master's degree plus 3 years of grant administration
experience. May substitute Bachelor's plus 5 years experience.  Knowledge of
federal sponsor guidelines and good communication skills essential;
supervisory and/or management experience desirable.
