Re: Arts & Humanities Funding Opps RESADM-L Member 01 Mar 2004 16:55 EST

Maggie,

I did a lot of searching for humanities funding in another life, at another
place ;)

Here are some other agencies to add to your list of thinking:

NSF - sociology programs, history of science, other interesting interactions
to support humanities work. NEH & NSF once co-funded a wonderful initiative
which supported projects that explored the issues at the crossroads of
science and humanities.

Library funding - in our state, the Illinois State Library funds some
wonderful programs that support humanities efforts in all sorts of
organizations, including my own.

Historical preservation - both government and private agencies with
interests in this area have programs of all sizes.

Cheers!
