Private Funding Administrator/Senior Private Funding Administrator (1)

Office of Research Administration - Provide administrative pre and post
award services to faculty and administrators in the Life, Physical,
Social and Biomedical Sciences as well as Arts and Humanities by
reviewing and processing proposals, reviewing and negotiating grants and
other agreements from non-federal sponsors, and all other award
management activities for these awards. Requirements: Bachelor's degree
with strong interest or background in business administration,
philanthropy and/or science  three or more years of research
administration experience including negotiation of award agreements or
equivalent experience required; knowledge of federal regulations and
foundation/corporate university relations both domestic and foreign.
Familiarity with federal patent laws.  Preferred familiarity with
general accounting rules. Computing proficiency and ability to work
under pressure in a deadline environment.  Effective interpersonal and
communication skills both oral and written.  Excellent accounting and
decision-making skills. Grade level determined by selected candidate's

Grants/Contracts Accountant (2)

Office of Research Administration - Two positions available to provide
administrative post award services to faculty and administrators by
reviewing and processing awards, including interpreting and ensuring
compliance with award terms and conditions, rendering decisions
regarding sponsored project issues, budget management, expenditure
review, financial reporting, cash management and all other award
management activities for these awards, including participation in
training and systems development.  Review, interpret and disseminate
University, and sponsor policies for a variety of issues and effectively
articulate these policies to internal and external constituencies.
Requirement: Bachelors degree required; Accounting or Finance major
preferred. 3 to 5 years of research administration experience or related
experience required. Computer proficiency in database creation/
maintenance, word processing and spreadsheet applications required and
Oracle experience preferred.  Ability to navigate sponsor's websites.
Ability to interact effectively, work under pressure, satisfy divergent
interest in support of strategic goals and good time management skills.
Effective communications skills both oral and written to elicit and
communicate information , to analyze data and to prepare/present clear,
informative and concise materials. Level of position will be determined
