Re: NSF Fastlane Diane Barrett 27 Oct 2003 10:52 EST

We delegated submission authority out to the Dean's offices in the major
schools and it has worked well for us. I believe we currently have 8 on
campus and 3 in our central office. FastLane is the only such delegation
that UW-Madison has done. On heavy deadlines it has been nice to have a
cross-section of people to help out. For instance, when I was the
research administrator in the College of Letters and Science I had one
deadline where I had 41 submissions going in. I asked for help from my
fellow research administrators and we managed to get everybody the help
they needed.
