Eleanor:

You've received a lot of good advice and everyone seems to pick the
first scenario.  I'll jump on that bandwagon.  Your A-133 audit needs to
reflect direct and indirect fed funding.  You may also have to report on
the sources within the fed through the CFDA numbers.  Your FASB
compliant financial statements also need to report on Fed Funding both
direct and indirect, too.  So there are many reasons to pull that info
out of your second and third tier subawards and report them.
