Re: Biographical Sketches Dean,Nancy N. 18 Jun 2003 15:26 EST

Shelly,

InfoEd has a web-based software database called Genius. It allows both faculty and administrators to enter Bio Sketch material into the module. Once the information is populated into the Genius module, the faculty member can extract the information in any format (e.g. modular grant format, regular NIH format, etc.). The other advantage of this module is that the faculty member can pick and choose which publications, memberships and/or certifications that s/he wishes to list.

Two other products that go along with the Genius module are SPIN and SMARTS. SPIN provides current information on national, international government and private funding sources. It also includes fellowships, research grants, sabbatical support, career development and more! SMARTS is an automated daily e-mail alert system that notifies faculty of new programs that match with their GENIUS profile.

We utilize all three modules at our institution and feel it is very beneficial for the faculty.

Hope this information helps you out.

Subject: [RESADM-L] Biographical Sketches

** High Priority **

Good Morning!

Our faculty is looking for an on-line system that will allow them to download PHS398 Biographical Sketches that have been saved. Does anyone know of a service that offers this (besides COS)? We don't want to have to re-invent the wheel.

Thanks so much for any responses.
