Re: Renegotiating F&A Rates Smith,Lois M 03 Feb 2003 13:49 EST

Craig,

We're a long form institution so it may be different. A couple of years ago we asked for year's extension. HHS suggested it would be probably better to go with a two year extension on our rate. When we decided we'd like to go ahead and submit after one year, we were turned down and had to wait until the rate period was over.

Good Luck, Lois

Subject: [RESADM-L] Renegotiating F&A Rates

Hi Folks,

As a short-form institution, Central Michigan University currently has an approved predetermined F&A rate of 42% of salaries, wages and benefits through 06/30/05. Does anyone out there know if we can negotiate a new long-form MTDC rate with DHHS prior to the expiration of our current F&A agreement?

Thanks,

Craig
