POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

TITLE:  GRANTS MANAGEMENT COORDINATOR

CATEGORY:       Associate Staff, full time, 12-month appointment

RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the Contract Manager/Team Leader, this
position assumes responsibility for a wide range of research
administration duties which include proposal review, ensuring compliance
with sponsor and university's policies and procedures, contract
negotiation and acceptance, subcontracting, post-award administration,
acting as liaison between sponsors and faculty/departmental
administrators.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree required and at least three years
experience in research administration or similar work.  Knowledge of
Federal Circulars, OMB A-21, A-110 and A-133 and Federal Acquisition
Regulations required. Experience in negotiating research grant and
contract clauses suitable for a university also required.  Must
demonstrate excellent proficiency in communication skills, strong
interpersonal skills, and have the ability to reconcile differing
viewpoints.  Strong customer service orientation in a deadline driven
environment is essential.

SALARY:  Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
