Director
Grant and Contract Accounting Services

The George Washington University seeks an experienced accounting
professional for the integral role of managing the University's Grant and
Contract Accounting (GCAS)
Unit and to provide expert level professional services related to grant and
contract accounting.  These services would include, but are not limited to,
consulting on regulatory and policy issues, compiling financial documents in
accordance with federal regulations, final rate negotiations with agencies,
innovative use/integration of new technology and the development of training
materials for GCAS and University researchers.

To be considered an applicant, it is necessary to have a Bachelor's degree
in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or an equivalent combination
of training and experience is required.  CPA and/or MBA are preferred.  A
minimum of 7 years management experience in the post award grants management
office of a large, complex non-profit organization, a minimum of 5 years
experience in fund accounting and/or grant accounting, and grant budgeting
and forecasting is required.  Strong familiarity with computer software
applications required, previous experience with Oracle financial software is
desirable.  Salary commensurate with experience. Requisition # R9892.
