Re: new NIH forms Don Schmigel 11 Jul 2001 16:13 EST

I have been happily filling, saving, changing, re-saving and printing the just-released 398 today. I believe you need to have the full adobe acrobat (reader and writer) installed on your hardware to save files. It has a few quirks and some rigidity, but on the whole works fine for me. I did notice, but haven't fully examined, that when you try to fill in the date of your negotiated rate agreement on the checklist page, you get a "garbage" entry.

I haven't looked, but someone in my office reports that the forms cannot be saved once they are filled out. How then will the hapless PI be able to make changes if the research office finds errors??????
