OFFICE OF ACADEMIC GRANTS AND SPONSORED RESEARCH
GRANTS ADMINISTRATOR

Applications are solicited for the position of Grants Administrator,
Office of Academic Grants and Sponsored Research at The College of New
Jersey.  As part of a customer-oriented, integrated sponsored programs
office, the Grants Administrator conducts limited pre-award and all
post-award research administration functions for a wide variety of
sponsors.  Responsibilities: reviews proposal budgets; assists in budget
preparation; works closely with the College's Office of Budget and
Finance (OBF); prepares and monitors sub-contract agreements; sets up
grant accounts; reviews and approves project expenditures; instructs and
supports principal investigators and project personnel in managing,
monitoring, and documenting project financial activities; maintains
excellent communications with sponsors and requests necessary approvals
for post-award management activities; ensures compliance with College,
governmental and agency regulations; reconciles OBF reports; completes
grants financial reports; maintains complete electronic and hard-copy
financial records of all grant and contract awards, including all cost
sharing and indirect-cost recovery; participates in site visits and
audits.  Requirements: Bachelor's degree, preferably in a business
field, with at least three years of experience in research
administration, or a Masters degree in a business field with less than 3
years experience in research administration; substantial knowledge of
research compliance regulations; excellent interpersonal, oral and
written communication skills; sound knowledge of word processing,
spreadsheet and database programs.
