Re: SPIN WOES: WHO ELSE KNOWS? Stremke, Donna 22 Aug 2000 15:05 EST

So glad to see this list serve being used. I have not experienced the
particular problems in the previous two e-mails, but have experienced an
even more frustrating problem, one that has prevented me from using SPIN for
a few weeks now. I can run searches, but when I attempt to access any
program returned as a hit, I receive an error message--in fact, there are a
variety of error messages I receive. I have sent Jennifer Romano
descriptions of the searches, program names, and copies of the error
messages. Tekkies have applied band-aids without fixing the problem--I can
access the particular programs that have been fixed, but the next time I run
a search and try to access the hits, I am again blocked by error messages.
I am on an intranet which has been updated recently and the errors still
occur. It's been weeks since I could use SPIN. Anyone else experiencing
similar problems? (I'd rather have duplicate hits than hits I can't get
to.)
