Gifts or Grants? Landen, Marcia 14 Aug 2000 09:32 EST

Dear Colleagues:

As you are likely aware, the Society of Research Administrators (SRA) is
presenting, with the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE)
and PricewaterhouseCoopers, a satellite teleconference entitled "Gifts,
Grants or Whatever? Determining How Contributions Should Really Be Counted"
on September 14, 2000 (Noon to 3:30 ET). Have you considered whether to
have your institution or organization sign up? If not, or if you are still
undecided, there is still time to register! Please visit the SRA web site
(http://www.srainternational.org) and click on SRA/CASE Teleconference
button. There you will find detailed information on the program, expert
panelists, and how and why your institution or organization should
participate.

If you are located at a university, please be aware that invitations have
been sent out through other organizations to development, financial and
legal officers. So, you may find that there is interest in other offices
and departments within your institution. Given that you can show the
program in a conference room, you may want to explore some cost sharing
among interested offices.

Finally, you should be aware that participating institutions and
organizations will have the right to tape the program for subsequent
training and other purposes. So, sign up soon!

If you have questions, please call the SRA Executive Office (not me!) at
703-741-0140.
