Re: Converting files to PDF for fastlane submission Nancy Peterson 07 Jun 2000 14:39 EST

Todd is right about the inserting pages problem. We just did an NSF
proposal in which I'd already converted a section using the FastLane Job
Options, than had to add another page. The 3.0 file converted to a 4.0
file. I couldn't transfer that new 4.0 file into Fastlane. I found out,
however, if I was working on a pdf file in Acrobat 4.0, I could simply use
"print" and select "Distiller" with the "Fastlane Job Option" from within
4.0 to create an acceptable 3.0 file to save on disk, (the same way you'd
do the original conversion on a Word file or a scanned file). That 4.0
file distilled as a 3.0 file and transferred into Fastlane fine. No
problems with printing.
