DoD Breast Cancer Broad Agency Announcement Sandi Robins 22 May 2000 11:32 EST

I would like to hear from anyone who has received money from the
Department of Defense - Army Breast Cancer or Prostate Cancer
Research Program to do research on human subjects. There is language
that must go into the informed consent regarding the provision of
medical care, at no cost to the subject, for any research-related
injury.

If you have any of these grants, could you please answer the
following questions:

What is your institution - public or private; university, hospital,
medical center?
Are you governed by laws that limit your liability?
Does the research involve more than minimal risk to the subject?
What provisions have been made to make medical care available in the
case of injury?

Thanks.
