COPC Program Roberts, Tom 09 May 2000 16:17 EST

Hi Colleagues-

Is anybody sending a proposal in response to the Community Outreach
Partnerships Centers Program (COPC) being funded through HUD? If so, I
could use clarification related to the allowable overhead we can request.
The guidelines refer to a "Planning and Administration" category that is not
the same as the indirect cost category. An example is provided in the
guidelines related to a 20% cap on "planning and administration" and
indicates that indirect cost AND planning and administration can not exceed
20% of the total budget request. The difference between our negotiated
rates and the 20% cap can be used as part of the match committment.

What is considered "planning and administration?" AND Is indirect cost
limited to 20% of the total project cost?

Any clarification that could be provided is greatly appreciated. Thanks in
advance.

Tom
